2009 Monona Pie Party

The Monona Pie Party committee teams up with other community centered nonprofit organizations to raise funds for community projects. In 2008 the committee helped raised funds for the Monona Elementery PTO and the Winnequah Tile Mural project. In 2009 the committee is working with the Friends of Monona Public Library to raise funds for the Early Literacy Program.

Current members include: Sean Jindrich, Kristin Sobol, Mary O'Connor, Libby Howting, Phil McDade, Elaine Thomas, and Sally Buffet.

Part of the mission of the pie party fundraiser is to engage a broad spectrum of the community over common interests. The success of the fund raising event is due to the synergy created when a community unites over common ground - or in this case, pie. The volunteer group is growing as more community members become engaged. The committee is excited to work with other organizations who serve the community to make the 2009 Monona Pie Party a memorable Monona event. Thank you, in advance, to all the bakers whose creations will make this event possible.

The Monona Pie Party will be across the street from the Monona Public Library at the Monona Community Center.
